Hotel and Restaurant Management

 

The Associate of Arts in Hotel Restaurant Management is designed for transfer to the Hospitality bachelor's degree at Northern Arizona University (NAU). This program trains graduates for management careers in one of the fastest growing industries in the United States, the hospitality industry. Students completing this degree will transfer 62 credits to NAU. Students planning to transfer to a university other than NAU should see an advisor.

What will I learn?

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to.

  • demonstrate front line hospitality management skills;
  • operate hospitality specific technology;
  • appropriately handle a positive or negative hospitality customer service experience; 
  • demonstrate entry level hospitality accounting practices;
  • describe how to handle an emergency situation within a hospitality setting;
  • utilize hospitality knowledge to define roles and responsibilities;
  • identify ethical and legal issues within the hospitality industry.
